On Saturday evening I handed Maddie my phone so that she could talk to her Grandma and Papa Creed while I was hauling in groceries from the car. On one of my trips from the garage to the kitchen, I overheard Maddie tell her grandparents that, “…tomorrow is Easter.”
They talked a little more and then I also heard her tell them that, “Easter is the day that Jesus comes back from the dead because He died to save us from our sins.”
I am glad to know she is paying attention when we teach her about Jesus and when her teachers at church do the same.
It was a happy moment for me and I am sure it was a happy moment for her grandparents too!

As promised a in prior post, there are more photos to share regarding our surprise winter storm; we all had a blast and are already missing the snow…it’s almost all gone only three days later! Click the image to see a slide show of our day.

We received well over 8 inches since last night; that’s a lot for Kentucky and that really is a lot when you consider that we are in the month of March!!! Last year, we had leaves on the trees by this time – the kids sure loved it though. Maybe this is God’s way of preparing our family for next winter…our first winter back in Wisconsin!
We are going to take the dogs to the park this afternoon, I am sure there will be more photos soon! Click on the photos to see larger versions.

On Wednesday, I was working on our clothes dryer – again – because, well, it likes to eat little baby-clothing snaps for lunch. Anyway, Maddie was watching me work on it and she saw that I was wearing my wrist brace – which I wear when typing to keep from further damaging my wrists - and she told me that, “[I] must be a really old man if my wrist hurts.“ Nice.
On a side note, for those of you that may consider working on your clothes dryer at home; be sure to UNPLUG the dryer before sticking your hands in it because the electrical-jolt you will get when you touch a bare wire connector is pretty strong. Unfortunately, I learned this from personal experience. I guess that’s what happens when someone gets so comfortable with taking apart their dryer that they forget such basic safety precautions.
